You can record videos while monitoring their sound by connecting commercially available headphones to the camera.

bullet02Do not use the headphone cables with the length of 3 m (9.8 feet) or more.

bullet02When headphones are connected, beep sounds, AF beep, and electronic shutter sounds are muted.

Audio without time lag.

It may differ from the sound recorded in videos.

[REC SOUND]

Audio to be recorded in videos.

Output sound may be delayed from actual sound.


bullet02The setting is fixed to [REC SOUND] in the following cases:

– During output of audio via HDMI

– When [Special Mic.] is set to [LENS AUTO], [SHOTGUN], [S.SHOTGUN], or [MANUAL]

– When using an XLR Microphone Adaptor (DMW-XLR1: optional)


character_diamondAdjusting the Headphone Volume

Connect the headphones and rotate button_control-dial_s.

button_control-dial-l_s: Reduces the volume.

button_control-dial-r_s: Increases the volume.

bullet02You can also adjust the volume by touching [icon_volume-low_s]/[icon_volume-high_s] on the playback screen.


To adjust the volume using the menu:

  1. Select [Headphone Volume].

  1. Press character_upcharacter_down to adjust the headphone volume and then press button_menu-set or button_joy-stick-push_s.

bullet02It can be adjusted in a range of [0] to [LEVEL15].
