Exposure Compensation
You can compensate the exposure when the standard exposure determined by the camera is too bright or too dark.
You can adjust the exposure in 1/3 EV steps in a range of ±5 EV.
When recording videos, the range changes to ±3 EV.

Press the shutter button halfway.
In [M] mode, you can compensate the exposure by setting the ISO sensitivity to [AUTO]. When the exposure compensation value falls below or exceeds ±3 EV, the brightness of the recording screen will no longer change. Press the shutter button halfway or use AE Lock to reflect the value on the recording screen. The set exposure compensation value is stored even if you turn off the camera. The standard value for standard exposure can be adjusted: You can set the exposure compensation value to be reset when the camera is turned off: You can change the operation of the [] button: Exposure Bracket can be set and flash output can be adjusted on the exposure compensation screen: ([Exposure Comp. Contrast and exposure are compensated when the brightness difference between the background and subject is great.
