Streaming Function

Connect the camera to a PC with a LAN cable to stream the camera’s images and audio (AAC).

Preparation:

Install an RTP/RTSP compatible streaming software to the PC.

1Set the [IP Address Setting (LAN)] to the same network as the PC.

[MENU/SET] arrow_menu [ menuicon_setup ] [ menuicon_in_out ] [LAN / Wi-Fi] [LAN / Wi-Fi Setup] [IP Address Setting (LAN)]

If you changed the setting of [IP Address Setting (LAN)], turn the camera off and then on again.

2Connect the camera and PC to a router with a LAN cable.

3Set the [Streaming Quality] and [RTSP Port] then turn the [Streaming Function] to [ON]. (Streaming Settings)

[ icon_streaming_on ] is displayed on the recording screen.

4Operate the streaming software and start/stop streaming.

Set the URL with the streaming software as follows.

rtsp://(IP address of the camera)/stream

If the [RTSP Port] ([RTSP Port]) is changed from the default setting (554), set as follows.

rtsp://(IP address of the camera):(RTSP Port)/stream

When streaming starts, the front and rear tally lamp light up, and [ icon_streaming_live ] will be displayed on the screen.

Refer to the operating instructions of the streaming software for operations.

Streaming Settings

Configures streaming settings.

[MENU/SET] arrow_menu [ menuicon_setup ] [ menuicon_in_out ] [LAN / Wi-Fi] Select [Streaming Setup]

[Streaming Function]

Enables/disables the streaming function.

[ON] / [OFF]

[Streaming Quality]

Sets the image quality that will be streamed.

[RTSP Port]

Sets the RTSP port number.

[CHANGE]: Change to a desired number. (Up to 65535)

[DEFAULT]: Sets to the default setting (554).

The following numbers cannot be set.

0-553, 555-1023, 1900, 15740, 10669, 10670, 50001, 60606

Notes When Using the Streaming Function

Operation is as follows when using the streaming function:

The following functions are not available:

–[Hybrid Log Gamma] ([Photo Style])

–[Miniature Effect] ([Filter Settings])

–[Rec. File Format]

–[Rec Quality]

–[Rec Quality (My List)]

–[Variable Frame Rate]

–[96kHz/24bit], [48kHz/24bit] ([XLR Mic Adaptor Setting])

–[Loop Recording (video)]

–[Segmented File Recording]

–[Live Cropping]

–[LAN / Wi-Fi Function]

–Pairing function of [Bluetooth]

The streaming function is not available when using the following functions:

–When [System Frequency] is set to [24.00Hz (CINEMA)]

–[HDMI RAW Data Output]

–When the recording mode is set to [P] / [A] / [S] / [M] mode on “LUMIX Tether”.

–During USB connection

When the camera is connected to a PC installed with the “LUMIX Tether” software with a LAN cable, the camera will be able to connect to “LUMIX Tether” and you can remotely control the camera with “LUMIX Tether”. (The camera cannot be controlled from [Control With LUMIX Tether] of the menu.)

–The live view will not be displayed on the screen of “LUMIX Tether” during streaming.

When you press the video rec. button, the images being streamed will be recorded on the external recorder output via HDMI/SDI:

Video cannot be recorded to the cards while using streaming function.

The menu screen cannot be displayed while streaming.

The camera’s recording information will not be displayed on the streamed images.

Blue Frame Display of Streaming

Displays a blue frame on the screen during streaming.
