Basic Picture Operations

  1. Select the recording mode ([iA]/[P]/[A]/[S]/[M]).

  1. Adjust the focus.

character_bullet-largePress the shutter button halfway (press it gently).

character_bullet-largeThe aperture value (A) and shutter speed (B) are displayed.

(When the correct exposure cannot be obtained, the indications blink in red.)

character_bullet-largeOnce the subject is in focus, the focus icon (C) lights.

(When the subject is not in focus, the indication blinks.)

  1. Start recording.

bullet02Recorded pictures can be displayed automatically by setting [Auto Review] of the [Custom] ([Monitor / Display (Photo)]) menu. You can also change the picture display duration to your preferred setting. (character_reference[Auto Review])

bullet02With the default settings, you cannot take a picture until the subject is brought into focus.

If you set [Focus/Shutter Priority] in the [Custom] ([Focus/Shutter]) menu to [BALANCE] or [RELEASE], you will be able to take a picture even when the subject is not in focus. (character_reference[Focus/Shutter Priority])
