Adjusting the audio recording level

There are manual adjustment and automatic adjustment as the adjustment method of the audio recording level.

bullet02Audio channel can be individually set.

bullet02For the icon_model-x2100/icon_model-x1600, the handle unit (icon_model-x2100 supplied, icon_model-x1600 optional) is available.

When the handle unit is attached to the main unit of icon_model-x2100/icon_model-x1600

  1. Switch the <CH1>/<CH2> switch to <AUTO>.

bullet02The following settings are disabled when the <CH1>/<CH2> switch is switched to <AUTO>.

– Recording level adjustments with the <AUDIO LEVEL CH1>/<AUDIO LEVEL CH2> dial


When the handle unit is not attached to the main unit of icon_model-x2100/icon_model-x1600, or when icon_model-x1200 is being used

  1. Select the [AUDIO] menu character_arrow [MIC SETTING] character_arrow [CH1 LEVEL]/[CH2 LEVEL] character_arrow [AUTO].

bullet02Following settings are disabled when the [AUDIO] menu character_arrow [MIC SETTING] character_arrow [CH1 LEVEL]/[CH2 LEVEL] character_arrow [AUTO] is selected.

– [AUDIO] menu character_arrow [MIC SETTING] character_arrow [CH1 LEVEL CONTROL]/[CH2 LEVEL CONTROL] setting

When the handle unit is attached to the main unit of icon_model-x2100/icon_model-x1600

  1. Switch the <CH1>/<CH2> switch to <MANU>.

  1. Adjust the recording level with <AUDIO LEVEL CH1>/<AUDIO LEVEL CH2> dial.


When the handle unit is not attached to the main unit of icon_model-x2100/icon_model-x1600, or when icon_model-x1200 is being used

  1. Select the [AUDIO] menu character_arrow [MIC SETTING] character_arrow [CH1 LEVEL]/[CH2 LEVEL] character_arrow [MANUAL].

  1. Adjust the recording level with [AUDIO] menu character_arrow [MIC SETTING] character_arrow [CH1 LEVEL CONTROL]/[CH2 LEVEL CONTROL].

bullet02The level increases as the number increases.

bullet02Audio is not recorded when set to [MUTE].


bullet02When the input level of audio exceeds 0 dB, the level display exceeding 0 dB is displayed in red in the camera image screen and the audio level meter (A) in the AUDIO screen of the mode check. This is indicating that the input volume is too high.

Adjust so that the maximum value of the audio level does not exceed 0 dB.

bullet02To enable the settings in [AUDIO] menu character_arrow [INPUT SETTINGS] character_arrow [CH1 LIMITER]/[CH2 LIMITER], make the following settings.

– When the handle unit is attached to the main unit of icon_model-x2100/icon_model-x1600

Switch the <CH1>/<CH2> switch to <MANU>

– When the handle unit is not attached to the main unit of icon_model-x2100/icon_model-x1600, or when icon_model-x1200 is being used

Select [AUDIO] menu character_arrow [MIC SETTING] character_arrow [CH1 LEVEL]/[CH2 LEVEL] character_arrow [MANUAL]

Switches the recording level adjustment method for audio channel 1 between automatic and manual.


[AUDIO CH2 LEVEL]:

Switches the recording level adjustment method for audio channel 2 between automatic and manual.

The recording standard level can be set.

  1. Select the [AUDIO] menu character_arrow [INPUT SETTINGS] character_arrow [HEAD ROOM] character_arrow [12dB]/[18dB]/[20dB].

The input level of the audio can be confirmed in the camera image screen and the AUDIO screen of the mode check.
