Fine-adjust the shutter speed to reduce flickering and horizontal stripes.

The shutter speed set in Synchro Scan is saved separately from the shutter speed used for normal recording.

In the Synchro Scan setting screen you can call up the current shutter speed for normal recording and adjust it.


  1. Set to [icon_mode-video] or [S&Q] mode.

  1. Set the exposure mode to [S] or [M].

  1. Set [Synchro Scan(Video)].

  1. Set the shutter speed.

character_bullet-largeRotate image_front-dial_s, image_rear-dial_s or button_control-dial_s to select a numeric value, then press button_menu-set or button_joy-stick-push_s.


bullet02The shutter speed can be set in the range between 1 second and 1/8192.0 of a second.

(The minimum shutter speed depends on the frame rate of the video being recorded.)

bullet02Press character_upcharacter_down to change the shutter speed in 1/4 TV intervals. Press character_leftcharacter_right to make fine adjustments.

bullet02You can call up the current shutter speed for normal recording by pressing [DISP.].

bullet02Adjust the shutter speed while looking at the screen so that flickering and horizontal stripes will be minimized.
